Crystal-Eyez Bridal Spotlight - Toni

Toni first contacted us early last year, over a year before her wedding, when her wedding planner Sharon referred her to us. Toni immediately booked her wedding date with us, and also scheduled a makeup appointment for her engagement shoot, performed by one of our fab artists Jasmine. I personally didn't get to meet Toni until the morning of her wedding when Kay & I arrived at her hotel in Naperville IL to do makeup for her and her bridal party. I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. She looked like a model, and it didn't hurt that she also had an absolutely beautiful and sweet personality.
Toni was nice enough to take the time fo give us a little insight on some of her wedding details and advice. We are thrilled to have Toni as our first featured bride in our long procrastinated "Crystal-Eyez Bridal Spotlight" series. Enjoy!
Name: Toni Dale
How did you meet your now husband?
We initially met in high school we didn't really know each other well then. We reconnected on social media (lol). I actually asked him out, honestly I wasn't even sure if he was dating anyone. I definitely stepped outside of my comfort zone...luckily he was available so it all worked out : )
And how did he propose?
We had made a bet several months before Christmas on ho can purchase the best Christmas present under $25. We exchanged gifts and he presented me with a DVD. He'd composed pictures that we had taken throughout our relationship and at the end he stated that he looked forward to our future together. I LOVED it so much that I wanted to play it again. When I reached over to press play, he was on one knee. He definitely caught me by surprise, it was very sentimental and romantic : )
When and where did you get married?
We were married on July 5 2014 at City Gate Grille in Naperville. We had an outdoor ceremony overlooking the pond.
What made you choose Crystal-Eyez as your wedding makeup artist?
My wedding planner worked with Crystal Eyez before, she initially made the recommendaction. I was blown away by the work that I saw on the online gallery. I believe we booked Crystal-Eyez a year in advance to ensure availability. I knew I wanted to work with Bisi for our wedding day.
What was your desired wedding makeup look?
I rarely wear makeup, but I knew that I wanted to look Fabulous. I honestly did not visualize a specific look with specific colors. I knew that I was in good hands. I trusted Bisi and decided to just give her creative license. She picked out my colors altogether, it was outside the box for me but it looked absolutely stunning. I was very pleased with how everything turned out.
What advice do you have for future brides?
Don't sweat the small stuff. Our wedding day was the happiest day of my life. I was determined not to let ANYTHING ruin our day or put me in a bad mood. We put so much time and energy into the planning process. We enjoyed and treasured each moment. My husband and I focused on our love and we had such a flawless day, full of happiness and joy : )
